The Right Size for Full ATX and Large Board Formats
The 30x35cm steps up for components where 20cm of bag width is the limiting factor, specifically full-size board formats and wide flat assemblies.
Module-Format Components
The 20x30cm I-Vac handles most standard module-format components cleanly.
Full ATX and Wide Boards
This size is built for full-size board formats and wide flat assemblies that do not fit within 18cm of working width.
Extended Board Formats
For E-ATX and extended boards with tight top clearance, the 30x47cm I-Vac size provides more margin.
Why the 30cm Width Matters
The 30x35cm format gives wide electronic assemblies enough working width for proper positioning, clean sealing, and full metallised barrier coverage.
It is the practical step up from 20x30cm when the component is not especially long but needs more side-to-side clearance.
Designed Around Full ATX Boards
A standard ATX board at 305mm x 244mm fits within the 30x35cm bag with approximately 26mm of clearance on each side and approximately 15mm of clearance above the top edge.
The metallised barrier covers the full board surface, providing ESD protection, EMI shielding, and the moisture barrier required for MSD components during transit and long-term storage.
Full ATX Motherboards
The ATX form factor is the primary use case this size was designed around, with enough clearance for a clean weld and full board-surface protection.
Full-Length PCIe Graphics Cards
A full-length dual-slot GPU at 310mm x 140mm fits within the 30x35cm bag with the card positioned lengthwise and clearance above the I/O bracket for a clean weld.
E-ATX and Extended ATX Boards
Extended ATX formats approach the limits of the 30x35cm bag. They can seal in this format with very tight clearance, while the 30x47cm size provides more margin.
Large Industrial Control Boards and PLCs
PLC modules, industrial SBC formats, and DIN-rail mounted control boards at 200-270mm width and 250-310mm length fit the working dimensions.
Wide Flat Panel Display Driver Boards
Display driver boards and TCON boards at 25-28cm width and 25-30cm length can be sealed individually for electrostatic protection during handling and shipping.
Testing and Warranty Return Packaging
For electronics repair and warranty operations that process ATX boards, full-length graphics cards, and large PCBs in volume, the 30x35cm gives a standardised RMA bag format.
Faraday Shielding and Moisture Barrier Coverage
The metallised barrier provides the Faraday shielding that bare GPU dies, onboard components, and sensitive board assemblies require, while also providing the moisture barrier needed for MSD storage and transit.
Machine Compatibility
The bag is compatible with both external vacuum sealers and chamber vacuum packers. Any LAVA vacuum sealer with a 30cm or wider seal bar handles this bag — the V.300, V.333, V.350, and all wider models in the LAVA vacuum packaging equipment range qualify.
Best For
Full ATX motherboards, full-length PCIe graphics cards, large industrial control boards, wide display driver boards, PLC modules, and any wide flat electronic assembly up to 27cm working width and 29cm working length requiring simultaneous ESD, EMI, and moisture protection.
Compatible Equipment
Compatible with all LAVA vacuum sealers with a 30cm+ seal bar and chamber vacuum packers.
I-Vac 30 x 35cm — Common Questions
Will a standard ATX motherboard fit in this bag?
Does this bag meet MIL-SPEC requirements?
Yes. The I-Vac 30x35cm meets MIL-B-81705 Type 1, Class 1. Full compliance documentation is available on request. Contact LAVA Australia for procurement documentation for defence, aerospace, or ISO-compliant quality management system requirements.
Can I use these bags with a chamber vacuum packer?
What is the difference between the 30x35cm and the 25x50cm I-Vac sizes?
Can my machine seal 30cm-wide bags?
All LAVA vacuum sealers from the V.300 upward have a seal bar of 34cm or wider, giving 4cm of clearance on the 30cm bag for consistent, reliable welds. The V.350 (36cm bar) provides 6cm of clearance.
Can I order a custom size?
Yes. Custom I-Vac bags are available from 2,000 units in any dimensions. Contact LAVA Australia to discuss specifications, compliance requirements, and pricing.

We expected to buy a chamber vacuum sealer. Fortunately, this was not necessary as these bags work perfectly with our external vacuum sealer
