I-Vac 30 x 47cm Metallised Anti-Static Bag

The Same Width as the 30x35cm — With 12cm More Length

The 30x47cm is for components where the clearance of the 30x35cm is insufficient or where the component itself runs longer than 305mm.

30 x 47cm Large I-Vac format for wide electronic assemblies
44cm Approx. usable internal length after both end welds
27cm Approx. working width for flat components
30x35

Standard Wide Format

The 30x35cm I-Vac bag handles standard ATX motherboards and full-length PCIe cards with approximately 15mm of clearance above the component.

E-ATX and Server Boards

Extended ATX boards fit the 30x47cm with approximately 37mm of clearance above the top edge. Server board formats including SSI CEB, SSI EEB, and custom rack-mount PCB formats all seat correctly with room for a clean weld.

Long Graphics Cards with Hardware Attached

High-end GPU assemblies with NVLink bridges, extended power connectors, or backplate systems can run 330-380mm in total length. The 44cm usable length accommodates these extended assemblies.

Multi-Component IC Trays at Full Tray Length

Standard JEDEC IC trays used in production and testing environments run up to 340mm in length. A full tray sealed in one 30x47cm bag fits within the 27cm working width and 44cm usable length.

Bundled PCB Assemblies and Multi-Board Sets

Two or three smaller boards stacked flat and sealed together for a kit, warranty return set, or matching component pair may exceed the 30x35cm length when aligned. The 30x47cm provides the extra room.

Large Industrial PLC Racks and Control Modules

Industrial DIN-rail modules, large PLC rack sections, and control board assemblies at 30-35cm width and 35-42cm length seal in the 30x47cm with appropriate clearance for a reliable weld.

Recommended LAVA Equipment for Larger I-Vac Bags

LAVA recommends the V.400 or V.500 for production use on larger I-Vac bags. The V.333, V.350, and V.400 all have triple-seal bars that provide the redundant weld security appropriate for high-value electronic components.

The 30cm bag width seals on any machine with a 30cm bar, including the V.300 and V.333, with 4cm of clearance. For production-volume use, the triple-seal security of the V.333 (800W, 34cm bar) or V.350 (900W, 36cm bar) is the practical recommendation.

Best For

E-ATX and server board formats, extended GPU assemblies with attached hardware, full JEDEC IC trays, multi-board kit sets, large industrial PLC modules, and any wide electronic assembly up to 27cm working width and 41cm in length requiring ESD, EMI, and moisture protection.

Machine Compatibility

Compatible with all LAVA vacuum sealers with a 30cm+ seal bar and chamber vacuum packers. Recommended machine: V.333, V.350, or wider for production use.

I-Vac 30 x 47cm — Common Questions

What is the difference between the 30x47cm and the 30x35cm I-Vac bags?

Length only. Both bags are 30cm wide with identical Swiss-made metallised multilayer barrier film and the same compliance certifications. The 30x35cm provides approximately 32cm of usable internal length, right for standard ATX boards and full-length GPUs. The 30x47cm provides approximately 44cm, for E-ATX boards, server formats, extended GPU assemblies with attached hardware, and multi-board kits. If your component fits with clearance in the 30x35cm bag, the shorter format is more economical per bag.
Yes. The I-Vac 30x47cm meets MIL-B-81705 Type 1, Class 1. Full compliance documentation is available on request. Contact LAVA Australia for procurement documentation for defence, aerospace, or quality management system requirements.
LAVA Germany recommends the V.400 and V.500 for processing larger ESD bags because both machines have a 46cm or 72cm seal bar and triple-seal bars — providing a 3-weld seal across the full bag opening on every cycle. For large, high-value electronic assemblies where a compromised seal could mean damage to thousands of dollars of equipment, the extra weld security of a triple-seal machine is worthwhile. The 30x47cm bag will seal on V.300 and V.333 machines (34cm bar, single or double weld), but for production-volume use the triple-seal V.333 or wider provides more reliable closure security.
Yes. The I-Vac is compatible with both external vacuum sealers and chamber vacuum packers, a key advantage for operations that run high-volume board packaging on existing chamber equipment.
The 46x46cm is the largest bag in the I-Vac range — 16cm wider than the 30x47cm and approximately square in format. The 46x46cm requires a machine with at least a 46cm seal bar (V.400 or wider). It suits very wide components and large square assemblies that exceed 27cm working width. The 30x47cm suits components that are wide at the standard ATX width but need the extra length.
Yes. Custom I-Vac bags are available from 2,000 units in any dimension. Contact LAVA Australia to discuss specifications, compliance requirements, and pricing.

We expected to buy a chamber vacuum sealer. Fortunately, this was not necessary as these bags work perfectly with our external vacuum sealer
