57cm Usable — When the 40cm Bag Runs Out of Length
The 25cm-wide series in the R-Vac range covers products that are slightly wider than the standard 20cm bags but do not need the full 30cm width of the larger format bags. Most products in that category fit within the 25 x 35cm or 25 x 40cm length. The 25 x 60cm is for the specific set of products that are 25cm wide and longer than 37cm.
Built for 25cm-Wide Products Longer Than 37cm
This bag keeps the useful 25cm width while extending the usable internal length to approximately 57cm, making it suitable for whole fish, long loin cuts, game back straps, and wide fillets that need to stay flat.
Whole Medium Salmon
A whole Atlantic salmon at 50-55cm body length, not a large specimen, but not a small fillet either, goes into the 25 x 60cm flat, head to tail, with the full body surface in contact with the fleece channels during the vacuum draw. At 37cm of usable space in the 25x40cm, a 52cm fish does not fit without folding. At 57cm in the 25x60cm, it does.
Full-Length Pork Loin Sections
A whole pork loin at 40-50cm, sealed intact for a roast or for slicing after defrost, fits the 25 x 60cm without needing to be cut into portions. The 25cm width accommodates the rounded body of the loin; the 57cm length gives the cut room to lie flat.
Venison and Game Back Straps
A venison back strap at 45-55cm, sealed whole for presentation and sliced after thawing, sits cleanly in the 25 x 60cm. For hunters who process their own game, sealing the back strap whole rather than portioning it preserves the cut intact through months of freezer storage.
Wide Fish Fillets at Full Length
A large flathead fillet, a wide bream, or a long trout fillet at 40-55cm lies flat in the 25 x 60cm without needing to be folded or angled. The 25cm width accommodates the body width of most medium to large whole fillets without side compression.
Pre-Made Speed or Roll Flexibility
For products that are regularly sealed at this specific length and width, the pre-made bag is faster than cutting from a roll — one end is already sealed. For variable lengths or occasional use, the 25cm E-Vac roll cut to any length is the more flexible option.
Same R-Vac Construction
The fleece-layer construction, material specs, and temperature ratings are identical to every R-Vac bag in the range. Swiss-made PA/PE multilayer, 90-micron, plasticizer-free, dishwasher-safe, rated for multi-year freezer storage and up to 95°C. Any vacuum sealer with a 25cm or wider seal bar handles this bag — every machine in the LAVA vacuum packaging range qualifies.
Best For
Whole medium salmon at full body length, full-length pork loin sections, venison and game back straps, wide fish fillets at 40-55cm, and any product that is 25cm wide and runs past the 37cm usable length of the 25x40cm bag.
Machine Compatibility
Compatible with all LAVA vacuum packaging machines and all other external vacuum sealers on the market.
R-Vac 25 x 60cm — Common Questions
What is the difference between the 25 x 60cm and the 25 x 40cm?
What is the difference between the 25 x 60cm and the 20 x 60cm?
Should I use this bag or a 25cm roll cut to length?
Width only. Both bags are 40cm long with the same 37cm usable internal length. The 30 x 40cm is 5cm wider, right for products that are wider than 25cm, such as large roasts, bone-in shoulders, and products that sit awkwardly in a 25cm bag. If your product fits within 25cm of width, the 25 x 40cm avoids unnecessary excess film on the sides.
Can I use this bag for sous vide?
Can I reuse these bags?
Yes. They are dishwasher-safe and reusable. Once cut open, a new seal can be made from the remaining length as long as enough material remains to position across the seal bar.

The only vacuum sealer bags I know which really keep tight in long term.
