Vacuum Storage Without a Bag — Stainless Steel Container Mode

Every LAVA vacuum sealer has a container mode. The ES-Line bowl is designed for this function, giving you reusable airtight vacuum storage without using a bag.

1

Press the Lid On

Place the universal lid onto the stainless steel bowl and press it into position.

2

Connect the Nozzle

Attach the suction nozzle to the valve port on the universal lid.

3

Use Container Mode

The machine draws air from the bowl through the container valve.

4

Release When Needed

Press the release button on the lid when you want access again.

How Container Mode Works

Every LAVA vacuum sealer has a container mode. In container mode, the machine draws air from a vacuum container through the container's valve rather than sealing a bag.

The ES-Line bowl is designed for this function. The universal lid has a valve port that connects to the machine's suction nozzle, allowing the machine to pull air from the bowl and seal it airtight.

Use It With the LAVA Easy Pump

The bowls also work with the LAVA Easy Pump, a cordless electric hand pump that draws the vacuum from the container without connecting to a main sealer.

The Easy Pump is the right companion if you want to vacuum seal a bowl at the table, in the fridge, or away from the machine.

Why Stainless Steel Over Plastic

Stainless steel does not absorb odours or flavours from strong-smelling foods such as garlic, fish, or marinated meats the way plastic can over time. It also handles vinegar-based marinades and citrus without material degradation.

Compared With G-Line Containers

The LAVA G-Line range is made from transparent glass or BPA-free plastic. The ES-Line is stainless steel, so you cannot see the contents without opening the bowl, but it is the cleaner option for sealed, odour-resistant bench or fridge storage.

Rapid Vacuum Marination

Under vacuum, reduced pressure opens the surface pores of the meat and drives marinade into the protein in minutes rather than hours.

Strong-Smelling Foods

Ideal for garlic, fish, cured meats, marinades, and other foods where plastic containers can absorb odour over time.

Cut Produce and Leftovers

The vacuum seal slows oxidation that causes cut fruit, avocado, cheese, and prepared salads to brown or deteriorate.

Fridge Storage

A vacuum-sealed bowl extends usable fridge life compared to plastic wrap or a loose lid.

Stackable Design

The bowls stack without their lids, keeping fridge and cupboard storage tidy while reducing the footprint of multiple sizes.

Long-Lasting Steel Build

Stainless steel handles cold storage and repeated use without the same odour absorption concerns as plastic alternatives.

Which Size for Which Use

1300ml 160 x 90mm

Individual portions, small marinades, cut fruit, cheese portions, and herbs.

2500ml 200 x 110mm

2-3 chicken breasts, medium fish fillets, batch salads, and fruit cut in halves.

4500ml 240 x 130mm

Full family marinade batches, large roast prep, salad for 4+, and whole cut vegetables.

Set of 3 All three sizes

Complete kitchen setup with one of each size.

The three-bowl set is the practical starting point for buyers who do not yet know which size they will use most. Most buyers find the 1300ml handles everyday single-use storage and the 2500ml or 4500ml handles marination and batch prep.

Best For

Vacuum marination of meat and fish in marinades, airtight storage of strong-smelling foods where plastic would absorb odours, cut produce and leftovers where oxidation is the primary storage concern, and anyone who wants a vacuum container built to last longer than a plastic alternative.

Compatible Equipment

Works with LAVA vacuum sealers in container mode and the LAVA Easy Pump for cordless vacuum sealing away from the main machine.

ES-Line Vacuum Bowls — Common Questions

What is the difference between the ES-Line (stainless) and the G-Line (plastic/glass) vacuum containers?

Material and visibility. The G-Line containers are made from transparent glass, plastic, or stainless steel depending on the specific G-Line variant, some G-Line models are transparent, allowing you to see the contents without opening the container. The ES-Line is fully stainless steel and opaque on all sides. Stainless steel does not absorb odours or flavours from acidic or strong-smelling foods over time the way plastic can. For everyday leftovers and mild foods, the transparent G-Line is convenient. For marinades, garlic, fish, and anything acidic or strongly aromatic, the stainless steel ES-Line is more practical long-term.
Yes. Every LAVA vacuum sealer includes a container mode that works with the ES-Line bowls via the container suction nozzle attachment. Switch the machine to container mode, attach the nozzle to the bowl lid valve, and the machine draws the vacuum from the container rather than a bag.
Yes. The LAVA Easy Pump is the cordless electric hand pump for container sealing without connecting to the main machine. The Easy Pump connects to the same valve port on the ES-Line lid and draws the vacuum in the same way. Useful for sealing a bowl at the fridge or at the table.
Press the release button on the universal lid. This opens the valve and releases the vacuum seal, allowing the lid to be removed. The button is positioned on the top of the lid and is accessible without any tools.
Yes. The stainless steel body and the lid are dishwasher-safe.

Yes. The bowls stack inside each other without the lids for compact storage. The stacking design is consistent across all three sizes.
