LAVA V.300 Premium X

The V.300 Premium X sits in a clear position in the LAVA range: it shares the pump and wattage of the V.200 Premium X (500W, -0.94 bar, 35L/min), but adds the analogue pressure gauge and L+ pressure regulation that only appear in the V.300 range. It has the same fully automatic operation as the V.300 Black (or White), but runs at a lower wattage and does not include the two-stage pump filter or stainless steel cylinder cover.

That makes this machine the right choice for a specific buyer: someone who needs the pressure gauge and L+ regulation for working with delicate or varied foods, but does not need the extra power and internal upgrades of the V.300 Black. It is a serious commercial-grade machine that handles extended daily use, and it is made in Germany with the same build quality and warranty as the rest of the LAVA range.

Pressure Gauge and L+ Regulation

The pressure gauge and L+ regulator are the two features that separate the V.300 Premium X from the V.200 Premium X, and they work as a pair.

The analogue pressure gauge shows you the exact vacuum level in bar during every cycle. When the machine runs in automatic mode, the needle moves from zero toward -0.94 bar as the pump works, then the seal fires automatically at maximum. In manual mode, you watch the needle and trigger the seal yourself when it reaches the level you want. This gives you direct, real-time feedback on what the machine is doing, not an LED approximation, but an actual pressure reading.

The L+ pressure regulator, included as standard, lets you set a reduced vacuum level before the cycle begins. You dial it back to anywhere from approximately -0.3 bar up to maximum, and the machine pumps only to that level before sealing. For pressure-sensitive foods, soft cheeses, ripe stone fruit, cooked sausages, fresh bread, and herbs, this is how you get an airtight seal without crushing the contents.

Together, these two features give you proper control over the vacuum process. That is what makes the V.300 Premium X more capable than the V.200 for anyone sealing a wide range of food types in a single session.

Fully Automatic From Lid Press to Lid Release

Press the lid, and the V.300 Premium X handles everything from that point: pump start, vacuum draw, automatic seal at target pressure, solenoid ventilation, and lid release. No additional button presses.

The LCS (LAVA Closing System) allows the lid to close with a brief press, rather than requiring you to hold it down throughout the vacuum cycle. It uses a magnetic latching mechanism that locks the lid in place the moment the pump starts drawing. When the cycle finishes, the solenoid valve releases the vacuum from the chamber, and you can open the lid. You can prepare the next bag while the previous one is still cycling.

Manual mode is available at any time via the control panel. In manual mode, the pump still starts automatically, but you fire the seal button yourself based on what the pressure gauge shows. This mode is useful when using the L+ regulator for delicate foods. You watch the needle reach your target pressure and seal at that exact point.

The machine also features a standby mode that reduces energy consumption when it is powered on but not actively in use, which makes a practical difference for businesses that leave the machine on throughout a full working day.

The V.300 Black runs 100W more, reaches -0.96 bar vs -0.94 bar, and includes the patented two-stage pump filter and stainless steel cylinder cover for better long-term pump protection in heavy-use environments. If you process large daily volumes in a butcher shop, commercial kitchen, or food production setting, those internal upgrades are worth having. If you run a restaurant kitchen, vacuum seal in volume, or want the pressure gauge and L+ regulation for precise food handling without the extra cost, the V.300 Premium X is a great choice.

The V.300 Premium X weighs 4.4 kg vs 4.9 kg on the V.300 Black, a small difference, but worth noting.

External Bag Vacuum Packaging at Cryovac-Grade Performance

The term “cryovac” refers to airtight, vacuum-sealed packaging widely used in commercial food processing. It does not require a chamber machine, and for most food businesses processing cuts of meat, fish fillets, or portioned food in standard embossed bags, an external vacuum packing machine at this performance level achieves the same result.

The V.300 Premium X reaches -0.94 bar, drives a 500W pump at 35 L/min, and seals with a double 4mm weld across a 34cm bar. The vacuum depth and seal quality are suitable for commercial food packaging of meat, fish, charcuterie, cheese, and portioned meals. The fan-cooled housing and oversized sealing transformer allow continuous operation through a full commercial service without downtime.

It is not a chamber machine and does not handle liquid-only pouches or modified-atmosphere packaging; for those applications, a chamber unit is required. For the vast majority of commercial food vacuum packaging in Australia, the V.300 Premium X handles the job.

Double Seal

The V.300 Premium X puts two separate 4mm weld lines on every bag across the full 34cm width. For meat, fish, and any food with liquid content near the seal area, the double-seal removes the single point of failure associated with a single-seam machine. If the first seam has any imperfection, the second holds it. For dry goods and lighter foods, it is over-engineered, but it costs nothing in cycle time and provides genuine peace of mind for the products where it matters.

The adjustable sealing time via a continuous scale from 1 to 10, covering everything from thin dry-aging bags at the low end to 200-micron industrial-grade foil at the high end. You do not need to switch machines for different bag weights.

Bags, Rolls, Containers, Jars, One Machine Handles All of It

The V.300 Premium X switches to container mode with a button press. It works with LAVA vacuum containers in glass, plastic, and stainless steel, as well as standard preserving jars with a vacuum-valve lid and pots or cans with a compatible valve. Container mode is practical for marinating proteins under vacuum; the vacuum drives the marinade into the meat in minutes rather than hours in the fridge, and for preserving seasonal fruit, vegetables, and condiments in sealed jars.

For bag sealing, it accepts any embossed vacuum bag or roll up to 34cm wide and up to 6m in length. LAVA’s vacuum sealer bags and vacuum seal rolls are Swiss-made from plasticiser-free PE/PA material and are compatible with every machine on the market. For dry-aging at home or in a small butcher setting, LAVA’s dry-aging bags work directly with this machine.

The pump is protected by a removable liquid receiver inside the sealing chamber and a secondary receiver near the bag locator, both of which catch liquid drawn in during the vacuum cycle before it reaches the pump mechanism.

Who the V.300 Premium X Is Right For

Restaurants and small commercial kitchens: Fully automatic operation, commercial-grade sealing depth, and a pressure gauge that lets kitchen staff work precisely across different food types without having to adjust technique. The standby mode makes it practical to leave powered on through a full service.

Butchers and fishmongers sealing portion cuts: The -0.94 bar vacuum depth and double seal handle wet products cleanly. The L+ regulator is useful when sealing marinated or brined cuts where a slower, reduced-pressure vacuum prevents liquid from being drawn toward the seal line.

Home users who seal a wide variety of foods: If you regularly seal both dense meats and delicate produce in the same session, the pressure gauge and L+ regulator make this significantly better suited to that use case than the V.200 Premium X.

Sous vide cooks who want precise bag vacuum: The pressure gauge shows the exact vacuum level in every bag. Pair with the LAVA sous vide stick for a complete precision cooking setup.

Anyone dry-aging at home: The adjustable sealing time (continuous 1 to 10 settings) and a vacuum depth of -0.94 bar work well with LAVA dry-aging bags for beef or lamb aged in a domestic fridge.

Specification

V.300 Premium X vs. V.200 Premium X: The specs are identical on paper, same pump, same wattage, same vacuum pressure. The V.300 Premium X adds the analogue pressure gauge, L+ regulation as standard, and a standby mode. If you need to see exactly what the vacuum is doing during each cycle, or if you seal pressure-sensitive foods regularly alongside denser products, the V.300 Premium X is the practical step up.

V.300 Premium X vs. V.300 Black: The V.300 Black adds 100W, deeper vacuum (-0.96 bar), a two-stage pump filter, and a stainless steel cylinder cover. For high-volume commercial environments or any setting where the machine runs all day, every day, those internal upgrades matter. For lighter commercial and domestic use, the V.300 Premium X is more than sufficient.

German-Made. Commercial-Grade. A Machine That Can Be Repaired, Not Just Replaced

The V.300 Premium X is manufactured in southern Germany by Landig + Lava, the family-owned business behind every machine in the LAVA range. It is built from individual serviceable components; the sealing strip, gasket, liquid receiver, and pump parts can all be replaced at home without sending the machine away.

It carries a 2-year commercial warranty and a guarantee of spare parts availability for at least 20 years from your purchase date. The oversized sealing transformer prevents the machine from overheating through extended commercial use, and the fan-cooled housing manages heat during continuous 1,000-bag sealing sessions.

LAVA V.300 Premium X - Common Questions

What is the difference between the V.300 Premium X and the V.200 Premium X?

Same pump, same wattage (500W), same vacuum pressure (-0.94 bar), same double seal, same bag width (34cm). The V.300 Premium X adds three things the V.200 does not have: an analogue pressure gauge that shows the exact vacuum level in real time, the L+ pressure regulator, included as standard, for sealing pressure-sensitive foods, and a standby mode that reduces energy consumption when the machine is idle. On the V.200 Premium X, L+ is an optional accessory, and the LED bar display gives a visual approximation of the vacuum level rather than a precise reading.

The V.300 Black runs at 600W vs 500W, reaches -0.96 bar vs -0.94 bar, and includes a patented two-stage pump filter and stainless steel cylinder cover that the Premium X does not. Both models have the analogue pressure gauge, L+ regulation as standard, fully automatic operation, and double seal. The V.300 Black weighs 4.9 kg vs 4.4 kg for the Premium X. For high-volume daily commercial use, the V.300 Black’s internal upgrades are worth it. For home use, small commercial kitchens, and lighter daily use, the V.300 Premium X covers the need.

It meets cryovac-grade standards for external bag vacuum packaging: -0.94 bar vacuum, double seal, commercial-rated for continuous use. It is an external bag machine, not a chamber machine. For portioning and sealing meat, fish, charcuterie, cheese, and cooked foods in embossed bags, it achieves the same result as cryovac packaging equipment used in commercial food processing. For applications requiring a chamber machine (liquid-only pouches, modified atmosphere packaging), a different type of equipment is needed.

Yes. Seal at -0.94 bar for a consistent, tight bag every time, and the pressure gauge confirms the vacuum level achieved in each bag. Pair with the LAVA sous vide stick for a complete setup.

Set the L+ dial to your target vacuum level before starting the cycle. The machine pumps down to that level rather than maximum, then seals automatically. Watch the pressure gauge needle to confirm the level reached. For most soft foods, berries, bread, soft cheeses, a setting between -0.3 bar and -0.5 bar is enough to seal most foods without crushing. The machine can be switched to manual mode so you control the seal trigger yourself for even more precision.

Any embossed vacuum bag or roll up to 34cm wide and up to 6m in length. LAVA’s vacuum sealer bags and vacuum seal rolls cover this in full. The adjustable sealing time handles bag thicknesses from thin dry-aging material up to 200-micron industrial foil.

Up to 1,000 consecutive sealings. The fan-cooled housing and oversized transformer manage heat through extended commercial sessions.

I changed to LAVA as all the other vacuum sealers were only lasting a few years. This quality, I believe, will last for a very long time. I can feel the difference to any other vacuum sealer I got so far in weight, sound and user-friendliness.
