The Part That Holds the Vacuum
Every LAVA vacuum container lid has a valve. During vacuuming, it opens to let air escape, then closes and seals so the vacuum stays inside the container.
A small part, but the main point that decides whether the container keeps its vacuum.
When the Valve Is Usually the Problem
If the lid and main seal look fine but the container will not hold vacuum, the valve is often the part that has worn or been damaged.

Remove the old valve and make sure the opening is clear.

Cheaper Than Replacing the Lid
Replacing the valve is far cheaper than replacing the whole lid or container, and it can restore the vacuum seal completely when the lid and main seal are otherwise fine.
